It was a hot show: hot as hell inside the lower level of Stubb’s in Austin, Davy’s tea was hot, and of course the music was hot, with Davy burning up the strings and melting faces all night long.
Each time I listen to the recording of the show I am blown away all over again.
Here’s some samples:
What In the World (Rory Gallagher)
Commotion (Creedence Clearwater Revival)
Coming Up For Air
Walk On Hot Coals (Rory Gallagher)
New song…unknown title…?
Downloads of the entire show should be up over the weekend.
ETA: The downloads are up HERE.

Thank you SO much — I can’t wait to dive into these and then later have the downloads. I was so saddened when the old incarnation of BDS split up (right after I saw them open for Gov’t Mule) but Davey sure seems to have hit the ground running. One of my favorite parts of his “new” career is his unlikely collaboration with Peter Frampton on the album. He is such an exciting young performer…he’s got a bright future ahead of him. I’m so excited to have these!
Wow, thanks for those samples! Can’t wait for the whole show download. Check out this site for many more BDS shows to download: http://davyknowlesbackdoorslam.ipbfree.com/index.php?
